I admit is was a challenge to get the "right angle" which would show off the best features - namely the beautiful old red brick building. As you can see the house is perched high on a cliff over looking Port Phillip Bay and the head of which sits the city of Melbourne, capital of the state of Victoria, Australia.

Ramsay House was designed by eminent Victorian born architect Sir Roy Grounds (18 December 1905 – 2 March 1981) was an Australian architect. His early work included buildings influenced by the Moderne movement of the 1930s, and his later buildings of the 1950s and 1960s, such as the National Gallery of Victoria and the adjacent Victorian Arts Centre, cemented his legacy as a leader in Australian architecture.(Credit: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roy_Grounds)

Ramsay House was designed in 1937 by Roy Grounds for his future wife Betty Ramsay. It is a seminal house in the evolution of Australian and Victorian modernism, having a significant influence on Robin Boyd and other architects of the period.(Credit: https://docomomoaustralia.com.au/roy-gounds-ramsey-house-open-day-april-28/)
